Biography
Hello and welcome to my TYPO3 profile!
I was introduced to TYPO3 in 2002 when we migrated the Marketing Factory website from plain HTML to TYPO3. Since then, my involvement with TYPO3 has grown steadily, both professionally and as a volunteer in the community. Over the years I’ve worked on many TYPO3 projects for customers and participated in various community activities.
I have served on the TYPO3 Business Control Committee (BCC) since 2011. In this role I help oversee the finances of the TYPO3 Association and contribute to transparent processes that align association activities with the interests and decisions of its members.
I’m also one of the organizers and Chairman of TYPO3Camp RheinRuhr and part of the TYPO3 User Group RheinRuhr e.V. We host an annual unconference and regular meetups throughout the year, bringing together TYPO3 users, developers, and enthusiasts from the region.
A topic I’m especially interested in is Community Ideas. It enables members to submit proposals, vote on them, and actively shape what gets funded by the TYPO3 Association. I’m motivated to further increase member engagement, both in contributing ideas and in participating in community decisions.
In my day job I’m managing partner at Marketing Factory (Düsseldorf), where I focus on digital projects, long-term customer relationships, and organizational development. We also contribute back to the TYPO3 ecosystem by maintaining free extensions and sharing practical insights on our blog.
Outside of TYPO3 I enjoy sailing in the summer and ice hockey in the winter.
